Krishna Krishna Hare Hare answer by: Pankaj, posted on: 27th January 2011 02:36:18 pm Ans. Hmmm...reminds me of a story
Everytime I come across this topic, it reminds me of a story. I dont have exact details about the names, so I will just generalize it.
A king (who was a devotee of Sri Krishna) got married. His wife was very very dutiful and would take extremely good care of her husband. The king was very pleased with his queen by all means. The queen was also a devotee like the king. They would punctually do pooja every morning say at 6:00 AM at the temple in their Palace.
However, the queen soon noticed that the king would actually wake up by 4:00 and is gone. One day she followed the king and noticed that the king would perform all the rituals of giving bath to Sri Krishna, would dress Sri Krishna in new outfits, offer fresh flowers, etc.
The caring queen thought about it and next day woke up much earlier than the king and did all the bathing, dressing, etc so that her husband doesnt have to do it. Then, quietly went back to sleep. When the king went to temple, he was astonished. This started happening regularly.
Eventually, one day the king decided to keep a watch. He was shocked to see his beloved wife do all this and felt VERY UNHAPPY. He immediately came out of hiding and asked his wife why she was doing this. She explained it was to reduce work for the king.
To this the king replied - "You may do your service. But, please dont steal my portion of service/prayer to Krishna from me!"
Folks, do you see the correlation of this story with this topic? Well, for me, this keeps reminding this story!!
HARI BOL... answer by: Subbiramanian, posted on: 27th January 2011 02:37:15 pm Ans. @ Pankaj
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
Krishna Krishna Hare Hare
That was a really wonderful story.
There are persons who like chanting on their own.
There are persons who would like to pray for themselves and may request prayers to be done on their behalf. It does not mean that it is stealing and rather it is strengthening the prayer on behalf of that person. Mass Prayer which is conducted on behalf of any person is always good for them.
This is a movement just to spread the power of Chanting the Nama and not make any person to stop nama chanting. There are plenty of persons who may wish to participate in group chanting and for them this is an opportunity to participate by making a request for prayer.
So, even though there is a perfect correlation with regard to your story, yet, this is different since the prayer requests made and the good effects which it will create is also tremendous
So, it is once again requested of all you to Chant the Maha Mantra
Hare Rama Hare Rama
Rama Rama Hare Hare
Hare Krishna Hare Krishna
