Q. killing of BaliIs right to kill Bali by Rama behind the trees?Killing Bali - Rama proved himself a selfish man? answer by: Ashish, posted on: 26th January 2011 09:05:53 am Ans. killing of Bali answer by: sumit, posted on: 26th January 2011 09:06:28 am Ans. Regarding killing of Bali, there was no "adharma" in Shri Ram's action.Shri Ram is the king and a king has full rights to punish the wrong doings of his subjects.Bali's Krishkinda came under the jurisdiction of Arya Bhoomi and so Shri Ram has the full right to punish him for all his wrong doings committed towards Sugriv. Now, the way of delivering punishment- Shri Ram's incarnation is that of human and Bali was a Vanara. The kings had there pastimes to go to forest for hunting. As per Dharma, hunting is permissible of an animal which has turned out to be dangerous towards the society. If the king of Vanara commit sins then his subjects are bound to follow him. Bali had acquired great powers through penance so he could not claim that not being human he is free from dharma.Infact, anybody having knowledge of Shastra has the responsibilty of carrying Dharma. So Shri Ram actions are fully justified as Dharma. Also, Shri Ram could have entered into friendship with mighty Bali to get Mother Sita back from Ravana but he followed the path of Dharma again and created illusion of taking help from Sugriv(who was no where as compared to Bali's might and prowness). And as Amit rightly pointed out,in incarnation of Shri Krishna He paid back the results of action by being hunted by Vyadha. So we must not doubt Shri Ram's action on killing of Bali.Jai Shri Ram.Jai Shri Krishna. answer by: sumit, posted on: 26th January 2011 09:06:58 am Ans.
